The scrap center in Uppsala AB

Björkgatan 40, Uppsala, Uppsala, Sweden | Scrap Metal Recycling

We are 20 employees at Skrotcentralen in Uppsala, who offer our customers and suppliers a well-developed service, including through our own transport organization, an expanded container service and our own swap bodies and crane trucks.

We carry out demolition tasks for industry and public administration. We have the equipment, experience and competence required for dismantling and moving away various metal constructions. Our staff is specially trained for professional handling of so-called 'hot jobs'.

We collect and receive iron and metal scrap. The scrap is sorted and processed in our modern facility in Uppsala into a raw material suitable for smelters.

There are several hundred scrap companies in Sweden, of which Skrotcentralen is one of the ten largest. Our modern plant for metal recycling is the result of continuous growth, efficient routines, coordinated transport and, not least, responsiveness to the world's increased demands for environmental awareness.

Our work area is primarily Svealand and southern Norrland. Our suppliers, i.e. where we buy scrap and materials from, are among the manufacturing industry, agriculture, contracting companies, municipalities and government operations, but also among private individuals.

Our customers are primarily steel mills and metal foundries in Sweden and the rest of Europe. Through our rational and environmentally friendly handling of all types of metal scrap, between 100-150 tonnes of processed scrap is delivered to our customers daily. This means that the Scrap Center delivers over 40,000 tonnes of processed scrap for recycling and further processing into new first-class metal products.
