Responsible Boat Recycling

9386 Alaska Way, Delta, British Columbia, Canada | Waste Management

First started in 2014, RecycleMyBoat is a paid service for picking up and responsibly disposing of unwanted boats, at 9386 Alaska Way, In Delta, BC.

We pick up all kinds of boats: fiberglass boats, wooden boats and metal boats, sailboats or power boats, pleasure craft or commercial boats, all shapes and sizes

Boats are picked up, transported to our shop, then they are cleaned, hazardous fluids such as fuel, oil, coolant, and sewage are recovered. After that, the boats are cut up in pieces. All recyclables are separated and what is left is taken to the local transfer station, from where it goes to the local waste to energy facility.

The Value we provide comes from our one-stop-shop responsible approach, where the boat is not allowed to become a source of pollution (water or land). Unlike similar services that have sprung up in recent years, we provide documentation, which in turn helps owners and authorities prove that the boat no longer exists and no pollution occurred in the disposal process.

Home Contact About us Old boats, if not cared for properly, become derelict and become an eye sore. Then they start releasing in the environment harsh chemicals (hydrocarbons, ethyl glycols, formaldehydes, lead paint, etc.). If not removed and handled properly, they become a long term pollution source.

Over the last seven years, we have been closely following and attempting our own research in implementing a true recycling process, involving fiberglass and painted wood that can be found in boats. We have not given up yet. Grounding and incineration in energy recovery units is the most viable solution and we are working towards implementing an in-house solution.

What about the used parts? is the most common question we have faced over the years. What we have learned is that costs associated with the removal, inspection, and servicing of old boat parts to make them marketable exceed the value customers are willing to pay.
