Our History

Skips Wastewater Services is owned by Andrew Coleman, a lifelong resident of Tolland County. Andrew first became familiar with the septic industry in high school when he worked for Skips Septic during his summer breaks. He continued to work for them for several years after school until he left to form his own company.

In 2005, Andrew founded Wastewater Services Incorporated (Wastewater Services), a full-service septic company which was started in Tolland County but quickly began offering its services statewide. By 2012, Wastewater Services had grown to 4,000 customers and was installing close to 100 septic systems per year.

In April 2014, Wastewater Services purchased Skips Septic, a local company founded in 1958 that had grown to about 20,000 customers at the time of the purchase. Upon the merger, the two companies became Skips Wastewater Services.

Today, Skips serves over 30,000 loyal customers with a group of the finest septic professionals in the industry. We now have a second location in Waterford, CT and offer exceptional service to customers East of the Connecticut River and Beyond. The company looks forward to continuing its mission of being the biggest and the best all-around septic company in the State of Connecticut.
