Texas Port Recycling, LP (TPR) is a wholly owned venture of Cincinnati-based, The David J. Joseph Company (DJJ), one of USA’s largest scrap metal companies.  

 

Our parent Company's rich history began in 1885. We possess a wealth of experience and an entrepreneurial spirit that is vital to success in the scrap recycling industry. 

DJJ is also part of Nucor Corporation's family of companies.

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Nucor is the leading purchaser of ferrous scrap and the largest recycler in North America.

Headquartered in Houston, Texas Port Recycling was formed in February of 2006 when DJJ purchased the business and assets of Northwest Recycling. This acquisition included a well established metals recycling facility on the Northwest side of Houston. In 2007, Texas Port Recycling opened a new processing site on the Houston Ship Channel. This facility is home of Houston's largest automobile shredder. Today, we operate 4 recycling facilities in Texas.  

We buy all types of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metals at each of our recycling locations, with a team of specialists who continually monitor market conditions to establish fair, competitive prices.
