MOPAK GROUP
It is first sprinkled on large, large lands as far as the eye can see. He is alone, small, but determined to know where he is, to belong to the land he is on. It waits to grow, sprout and be more productive than other seeds. Sometimes it is washed with rain, sometimes it is fed by the sun, sometimes the seasons bend its neck, but to be strong is to be patient.
He knows this and always keeps his head up. When the right time comes, it gets the reward of always looking up and not giving up, and it gives a crop. And he knows that after every good crop he will return to his land, his home. And that it will always start again... Without stopping, without exhaustion, always renewing and getting stronger...

History
MOPAK FROM PAST TO TODAY
After long years of war and absence, with the proclamation of the Republic in 1923, a brand new era began for Turkey and the Turkish society, which was born from the ashes. The Republic of Turkey has risen on the foundations laid in social life, science, education, art, agriculture and industry with the transformation that took place under the leadership of the Great Leader Atatürk. In that most depressed period of history; took its place on the world stage as a free, democratic and powerful country. In those days, every field planted, every nail driven, every workplace opened went down in history as the first children of our Republic. Here Mopak is one of the first children of our Republic.
In 1926, while the Young Turkish Republic was still taking its first steps, a Cretan Turk named Mehmet Ali Molay took the first step of Mopak's centuries-old journey by establishing a small printing house on İzmir's Fevzi Paşa Boulevard. This printing house, which was established as a small enterprise at a time when a country was rebuilt and the economy and industry was still in its infancy, will turn into one of the most glorious success stories of the Turkish economy in the following decades.
When the calendars showed 1930, Turkey gained the identity of a country that developed rapidly with successful breakthroughs and reached the power to compete in the conditions of the modern world, despite the ongoing great economic depression in the world. In those days, a new page was opened in Mopak, which grew rapidly and steadily just like Turkey; The company entered the packaging industry after printing, under the leadership of Ethem Ruhi Molay, who represents the second generation of the family.
During the following years, Turkey gained strength in competition with the world's important countries in trade and industry, while Mopak continues its business life by constantly growing as an important actor in Turkey's industrial development, with innovations and investments beyond the times. After the successes in the domestic market, Mopak has now turned its route abroad and its export targets have started to take shape. At this point, production and exports have become the driving force and critical success factors for the Turkish Economy.
Mehmet Ali Molay, who graduated from the Berlin Graphic Arts Academy in 1970 and bears the same name as the founder of the company, returns home and establishes his own printing house. Established by Molay with modern production techniques and an innovative management approach, this business will achieve great success in a short period of 4 years and will join forces with the company under the management of Ethem Ruhi Molay, and Mopak will become a much more comprehensive production center and become the largest company in the Turkish Paper Industry. An important step will be taken towards becoming a brand.
After the death of Ethem Ruhi Molay, who gave great momentum to the company in 1979, Mehmet Ali Molay took the helm. The 80s, when Turkey went through a huge transformation both socially and economically, was a time when milestones were formed and records were broken for Mopak both in the domestic and foreign markets. The company continues on its way by establishing business models required by the new world and the new socio-economic situation, constantly growing with innovative strategies and investments.
Mopak now turns into a giant structure that produces with high capacity in a wide spectrum from playing cards to cigarette papers, from stationery to notebooks and photocopy papers, and continues to achieve great success in exports as well as in the domestic market. Mopak in the early 90s; In addition to being among the top three companies that export at the highest rate, it has become one of the companies that provide the highest employment and make the highest investment in the domestic market.
Mopak also undertakes the task of raising qualified human resources for the sector with the training center established in the same period. In the following years, the scope of this mission will be expanded and the MOPAK Education and Culture Foundation (MEV) is established in order to raise the creative and productive individuals that Turkish Industry needs, to increase their knowledge and experience and to ensure their social development.
Stepping into the retail sector in 1992, Mopak opens the first of its stationery hypermarkets in İzmir. From this date, a new era will begin, and Mopak products will begin to meet with large customer bases from multiple channels, with new hypermarkets and sales channels opened in different cities.
Following this new initiative, where it opened a new page in its own history, Mopak will be the first Turkish brand to participate in PaperWorld, the world's largest paper fair held in Frankfurt every year. In the second half of the 90s, the company expands its overseas expansion. Founded in 1996, MOPAK Deutschland GmbH will serve as the center of exports to European countries in the future.
By the end of the 20th century, Mopak has become Turkey's largest production center in this field, with an annual paper production capacity of 6 thousand tons and a paper processing capacity of 100 thousand tons. The Dalaman Cellulose-Paper Cardboard Integrated Facilities, established by Mopak, which won the tender for the privatization of Seka Dalaman in 2000, became operational in 2001 and started the production of cardboard from the pulp.
Adopting an environmentally friendly and sustainable business model by using the latest technologies in production, Mopak brings the Industrial Eucalyptus Plantations Project to life by realizing Turkey's first industrial forest project in 2003, in order to make environmentally friendly production and increase its economic contribution.
Mopak is a reference institution that can respond to the needs of the new age and the new consumer profile, and that sets an example not only for its own sector but also for all industrial establishments, with an approach that combines the latest technology with an environmentally friendly production approach. In 2013, at a time when the Fourth Industrial Revolution began to rewrite the codes of the business world, another blood change takes place in Mopak. Ercüment Ruhi Molay, the 4th generation representative of the Molay family, returned to the country after completing his undergraduate education in Paper and Chemical Process Engineering in Germany, first in Economics and then in Management and Organization in England, and inheriting the flag from his father Mehmet Ali Molay, Mopak. He starts his duty to take the .
Under the management of the 4th generation, Mopak continues on its way with firm steps by blending its respect for tradition with the vision of the future. On the one hand, Apprenticeship Vocational School students are trained in Kemalpaşa and Dalaman facilities, and on the other hand, investments are made in facilities and machinery to get the most efficient results from this trained power. As a result of all these efforts, correctly taken risks and smart business plan, Mopak, under the management of 4th generation Ruhi Molay, gains a solid place for itself as a Turkish Industry Giant in the globalizing world and solidifies its stance as the opinion leader of the sector by producing what is not produced in Turkey.
Today, Mopak, with its more than 600 employees in its three production facilities, works to add added value to life by growing sustainably, within the framework of its vision of “Connecting paper and life”; In addition to the social responsibility projects it carries out in various fields, it invests for a healthier and better future with the voluntary support it offers for the benefit of the environment and society.
Mopak, which has reached the age of 95 with 100% domestic capital, has become the leader of the Turkish Paper Industry by constantly growing on the shoulders of four different generation representatives of a family and producing added value, and a 'memory brand' with its history and culture; As one of the first children of our Republic, he continues his walk arm in arm with the Republic by producing, developing and keeping them alive.
