The state of recycling in this country is like the Wild Wild West. We’re here to set you straight on what is really going on in the world of recycling. Welcome to CWRC – the Central Wisconsin Recycling Collective.  We use social media (Facebook, Instagram, & YouTube) to help you become a better recycler.

We’ll take you through the basics of proper recycling, share with you what happens to stuff after it’s picked up at the curb by those little recycling elves, introduce you to a MRF (pronounced Murph, it’s a Material Recovery Facility), and so much more.  Who are we? We like to say we are passionate about resource recovery. The organizations we come from are Marathon County Solid Waste, Portage County Solid Waste, and Recycling Connections. We know our stuff, and we love to share our knowledge.
