Akbaşlar Recycling

Akbaşlargroup has been operating in Mersin since 1988 and is one of Turkey's leading waste management companies. Enterprise waste management carries out the activities of separate collection and separation of packaging waste at the source, collection of non-hazardous wastes and preparation for recycling.

Akbaşlargroup pioneered the separate collection of waste management activities at the source in the region, which set an example for other companies, by making an agreement with the municipality for the first time in Mersin to collect packaging waste separately at the source. After making an agreement with the first Tece Municipality in 2006, Mezitli Municipality and Yenişehir Municipality in 2008, and Anamur, Bozyazı, Ören and Çarıklar Municipalities in 2011, worked on the separate collection of packaging waste at the source. By making a contract with Tarsus in 2018, it carries out separate collection activities at the source in the district with a population of approximately 340,000.

Recyclable wastes collected from homes, hospitals, schools, public institutions and factories are collected in our facility, separated, pressed and prepared for recycling. The collected plastic wastes are recycled in our group companies Doğaplast, turned into bags and used again by Akbaşlar for the collection of waste. Our bags used in collection are our own products that are 100% recyclable.
