NEMETZGUSS

The family company NEMETZGUSS has existed for more than a hundred years. Founded in 1901, it has lived through all the ups and downs of the past century and has become part of the history of Wiener Neustadt. Today, the company Johann Nemetz & Co GmbH is managed by the fifth generation and employs around 100 people.

The founder Johann Nemetz (1851-1925) worked in the Wiener Neustadt locomotive factory as a foundry master. In 1901 he set up his own business in a former hammer mill just outside the city gates. The foundry, which was only run by family members in the first few years, moved to its present location as early as 1908.

The Nemetz family has been dealing with metals, mainly cast iron, for over 100 years. A lot has changed fundamentally during this period of time. But one thing has always remained the same: the material iron and its excellent suitability for casting and processing. The wealth of experience of our fathers, combined with research into metallurgical processes and technical progress, has given us a head start that allows us to be proud of what we have achieved.
