Best Junk Removal, LLC

This business was started by David Akridge, after his corporate level job was eliminated in a restructuring (August of 2015). He looked for another job for about 8 months, before deciding to start a business.

Out of financial desperation and a simple gut feeling to do this, he started Best Junk Removal, LLC, in Spartanburg, SC.

David tried himself (in 2015) to find someone dependable to come and pick up junk from his home. He could not find anyone, or even get a call back.

He finally found someone, but they showed up late, and they did not appear to be a reliable and trust worthy company….they were uninsured as well.

So he did some research after losing his job, and found out that (in fact) there were very few reliable junk removal companies in the area, and that there was a tremendous need for this type of service.

The timing was just right then, and it would not have been be successful getting started in today’s economy and competitive climate. God is Sovereign (Roman’s 8.28)!

David already had a pick-up truck, so he placed an add on Craig’s List, and after only two days, he booked his first service – $190 for 30 minutes of work!

In May of 2016, David formed an LLC and began the business full time.

Best Junk Removal, LLC is growing rapidly due to superior customer service and a unique business model. The company has recently started Demolition Services (primarily residential) as well as Dumpster Rental Service (short-term only).

An upscale retail or wholesale operation, utilizing items procured from junk removal operations is on the horizon possibly – stay tuned!

The company is on track to book one million in sales for 2022, and currently operates 3 work trucks and trailers. Work is accomplished using full-time and part-time employees, as well as several independent contractors for more complicated jobs.
