Auto parts Fernand Bégin

416 rang F. Begin, Saint-Georges, Quebec, Canada | Automotive Recycling

In 1978, Fernand Bégin and his wife Béatrice Poulin launched what was to become a car salvage and metal recycling center by first buying damaged vehicles to reuse the parts. At that time, three employees worked with them at the head office in Saint-Philibert, in the heart of Beauce. Following the death of the founder in 1989, his spouse and their children Denis, France and Marc took over the business.

Over the years, several physical improvements are made. In addition, the owners acquired Roch Drouin Auto Parts in 2013, now known as Jonction Métaux, located in Saint-Georges. The latter specializes in the recovery of various metals and employs about ten employees. In 2018, Fernand Bégin Auto Parts continued its growth by purchasing Dumont Auto Parts, located in Saint-Gilles in Lotbinière. About 25 employees currently work there. The three companies work together on a daily basis. Today, more than 150 employees participate in the success of the Quebec company led by a family of enthusiasts.

At Pieces d'autos Fernand Bégin, more than 8,000 damaged vehicles are purchased annually. These are either sold to be put back on the road (about 600) or dismantled for the sale of parts. The majority of vehicles come from Quebec insurance companies, while a minority comes from individuals.

With its own fleet of trucks as well as with the help of certain transport companies, Pieces d'autos Fernand Bégin delivers both used and new parts across Canada. In recent years, the company has also turned to exporting.
