Waste Management Downtown Diversion is Southern California's leader in construction and demolition debris recycling. We have sent employees around the world in search of new technologies to build and design award-winning construction and demolition recycling facilities. Our services help clients recycle at least 75% of their material. This consistent performance has made us valuable in numerous Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects and California High Performance School (CHPS) projects.

Since incorporation in 2003, Downtown Diversion has diverted over 1.35 billion pounds of construction and demolition debris from landfills. By transforming waste into beneficial products such as mulch, roads, fuel, and fertilizer we preserve the area's landfill space and reduce the need to harvest and consume virgin product.

We have been recognized for our recycling achievements by being named the '2006 C&D Recycling Facility of the Year' by the Construction Materials Recycling Association, in addition to receiving a congratulatory award from the Los Angeles City Council.
