In 1928, René Matot created 'Etablissements Matot', active in the metallurgical and recovery sector. The first site was in Liège, at the Ans-Est station where around fifty workers were employed.

In the following years, a 'sister' house opened its doors in Limburg, in Hasselt.

In 1953, Roger Matot entered the business and in 1970, under his leadership, the current company Rocourt Métaux SA was created.

In 1980, Patrick and Robert Matot arrived to ensure the continuity of this family business.

Since then, the company has been established on a single site where all the activities are grouped together, which will be developed and diversified throughout the years to come.

In 2014, Robert Matot alone manages the company ROCOURT METAUX.

The 2000s were devoted to major investments. First a new showroom, to promote the fencing and ironwork sector. Next, a brand new hall to improve storage and be more efficient. State-of-the-art equipment to better serve customers: remote control overhead crane, automatic saw performing angled cuts, 20 m2 welding table, shear for thin and thick sheet metal (10 mm).

In 2010, Rocourt Métaux decided to market and stock aluminum and stainless steel profiles and sheets as well as a new 'do-it-yourself' stainless steel railing product: the 'stick-it'.

Born from the harvesting and sorting of metals, Rocourt Métaux has been operating for 40 years, specializing in the supply of beams, concrete mesh, sheets, merchant steels and all other steel products, it occupies a key position in the construction sector. construction.

Well known to individuals, entrepreneurs and industry, this company has one of the largest assortments of products and services in the region.

At the same time, the sorting center and the recycling policy have also benefited from major investments so that the site meets the latest environmental standards and complies with current legislation. The company is thus approved for the collection of ferrous and non-ferrous waste from individuals or professionals. For industry or for large quantities, a container service is available, possibility of reservation or rotation to be defined.

2012 ended in style, with the construction of a new 1,200 m2 car park to better accommodate customers.
