Economy Roll-Offs of Des Moines

Alan Rockhold in 1995 had an idea about dumpsters, providing small boxes to customers, and so Economy Roll-Offs became the first company in Des Moines to offer 9, 10, and 12 yard containers. As they say….the rest is history. Alan started out with one truck, three boxes, and worked his “part-time” business, until the demand became a full-time job. Alan retired from his teaching position at SE Polk where he had been the shop teacher for many years. Today Economy Roll-Offs is one of the largest and best service companies in the greater Des Moines area.

Community Service

Each week, Joppa visits 100-200 people living under bridges, in tents, shacks and vehicles in Polk County. Helping homeless people survive, get housing and thrive. Working to provide homeless nutrition, street nursing, job training, transportation, and survival programs like winter heat and boots.

Economy Roll-offs along with their affiliated company Anderson Roll-Offs support this important organization that fills gaps in community services and unmet needs. Each year Joppa can count on the help from our combined organizations to assist in cleaning up and removing trash from areas and properties around Des Monies.
