OUR HISTORY

Lundstams has been a company for over 70 years. It was the two young truck drivers Arne Lundstam and Nisse Andersson who in 1949 started Andersson & Lundstams Åkeri. Environmental care was an important part of the business at an early stage and the courage to invest in sustainability came naturally.

1949

Andersson & Lundstams Åkeri was founded. The main activity was gravel transport.

1954

Lundstams Åkeri was formed and develops petrol and oil transports.

1969

An own office was built outside Östersund with, among other things, heavy oil vehicles, excavators and tank cleaners.

1974

newspaper and corrugated cardboard collection was started, as well as container collection of construction and industrial waste. A separate plant for sorting waste paper and treating waste oil was built.

1989

collection of hazardous waste was developed and operations were directed towards recycling and hazardous waste.

1999

recycled materials were expanded to glass, metal, plastic and paper packaging. Lundstams established itself in Sundsvall with the transport of petrol and diesel.

2006

The tank cleaning company Westoil in Umeå was acquired. Collection of waste oil and hazardous waste in the region is being developed.

2007

opens our intermediate warehouse for hazardous waste in Söråker, Sundsvall. 2008 Danielssons i Hålland AB was acquired.

2012

The subsidiary PLM, Petroleum Logistics in Central Scandinavia AB, was formed.

2013

we make a structural deal with Ragn-Sells AB where we acquire Ragn-Sells' operations in Jämtland County and Ragn-Sells acquire our operations in Västernorrland.

2013

we are starting a closer collaboration with Reaxcer regarding material handling and transport.

2015

HERAB, Härjedalens Entrepenad och Renhållning AB were acquired.

2016

connection of own solar cell system and charging post for electric cars at our plant in Östersund.

2019

we celebrated 70 years as a company and started up our robotic recycling facility. It was the second facility in Sweden with similar technology.

VISION

Our vision is that 'we should have the world's best recycling customers'.

We have decided to drive development towards a circular economy. It is a journey we need to make together with our customers and with society at large. We want to be part of building a society where we recycle and reuse more of the stuff we buy.
