Tratolixo

Tratolixo is a certified inter-municipal company, 100% owned by AMTRES – Association of Municipalities of Cascais, Mafra, Oeiras and Sintra for the Treatment of Solid Waste – and responsible for the public service for the treatment of Urban Waste produced by the more than 800,000 inhabitants of the municipalities of this Urban Waste Management System.

As a result of their hard, rigorous and efficient work, various recyclable products result – which are sent for recovery – electrical energy and compost.

MISSION, VISION AND INTEGRATED POLICY

Our mission is to ensure the treatment and recovery of Urban Waste produced in our municipalities, always taking into account the principles of sustainability.

Our vision is to use the most advanced, safe and environmentally appropriate techniques in the treatment of Urban Waste, giving special emphasis to its recovery and considering it as a source of potential raw material.

In accordance with the Mission, Vision and the Historical Reasons that led to our establishment, we have approved our Integrated Policy on Quality, Environment, Safety and Social Responsibility, by which we are governed.
