History

The genesis of the company is directly related to the establishment of Przedsiębiorstwo Materiałów Podsadzkowych Przemysłu Węglowego, which from 1952 to 1991 was the logistic core of coal mining in the field of rail transport, forwarding and supply of backfilling materials and mining waste management. By the decision of the authorities at that time, the state-owned company PMPPW was divided into several independent economic entities, including the current CTL Maczki-Bór SA.

From 1991 to 2001, the company operated on the market as Kopalnia Piasku Maczki-Bór Spółka z oo, and after the privatization process completed in 2001, it was introduced by a strategic investor to the CTL Logistics Group and adopted the final name of CTL Maczki-Bór SA

It is worth emphasizing here that CTL Maczki-Bór SA has several dozen kilometers of its own railway infrastructure in the Upper Silesian Industrial District, with access to hard coal mines, steel mills and power plants as well as routes of Polish Railway Lines.

Taking advantage of the convenient location and the possessed potential, the company has built logistic solutions for the industry, based on the supply chain of solid fuels for the power industry, collection and management of mining waste. The complexity of the services offered currently consists in the full correlation of services in the field of waste management and by-products with rail and road transport.
