PPUH 'RADKOM' Sp. z o. o. is a municipal company in which the Commune of the City of Radom holds 100% of shares.

The enterprise was established on December 22, 1992 on the basis of a separate part of the property of Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Gospodarki Komunalnej in Radom. The company is registered in the National Court Register kept by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw, 14th Commercial Division, under the number 0000158960. The amount of the Company's share capital is PLN 72,484,500.00.

The main task of the company is to organize the waste management system in Radom.

The company provides services in the field of:

The European Union treats waste landfilling as the worst solution, which is why a decision was made to build a Municipal Waste Treatment Plant. This allowed the city to enrich itself with a high-class waste treatment plant, which covers not only Radom, but also the surrounding municipalities. The waste is neutralized by natural methods - it is composted. The entire process is preceded by very careful sorting, because it is extremely important to remove the harmful elements at the source, so they are collected selectively.

In 2000, the company 'RADKOM' made efforts to obtain aid from the ISPA fund, which belonged to the so-called pre-accession financial instruments for countries applying for accession to the European Union. In May 2001, the ' Strategy for the creation of a regional waste management system in Radom ' was implemented to ensure compliance with the principles applicable in the European Union.

In order to find the best solution for a comprehensive municipal waste management system for Radom and the region, various preparatory analyzes and studies were carried out. A series of meetings, discussions and field visions took place in order to define the technical, financial and economic scope of the necessary investments. The consequence of these actions was the signing of the Financing Memorandum.

Pursuant to the Financial Memorandum signed on December 18, 2002 between the European Commission and the Republic of Poland, the City of Radom received financial aid from the Cohesion Fund (former pre-accession ISPA Fund) for the implementation of a project of a comprehensive waste management system.

This system, created on the basis of the Municipal Waste Treatment Plant in Radom, has a supra-local character, and its total cost has been calculated at EUR 17,600,000.

Due to the fact that the European Union co-finances only projects whose implementation has a chance to significantly affect economic development, the share of EU funds in the Radom project set at 65% of eligible costs is proof of the correct concept of solving environmental problems. The remaining 35% of the investment is the Beneficiary's own share, therefore, under the Agreement with the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, the Municipality of Radom, on October 10, 2003, signed an agreement with the municipal company PPUH 'RADKOM', transferring as the Investor the rights and obligations and responsibility for the implementation of the project.

We care for a cleaner and healthier tomorrow for the inhabitants , which is why we undertake a number of activities related to the protection of the natural environment. Our activity covers many aspects, from technical to organizational, economic and educational. The latter are aimed at a revolutionary change in the general social mentality in the field of waste management and handling.

We are not afraid of introducing innovative solutions in the field of comprehensive waste management. This is evidenced by the document prepared in 1999 by the Company under the name 'Program of undertakings for the implementation of comprehensive waste management in Radom'.
