History

BEST EKO Sp. z o. o. was founded in 1995 and started operating on the market in September 1996.

In the first years, the company's operations consisted of servicing the facilities of the Boguszowice wastewater treatment plant and water treatment plants owned by the liquidated Coal Mine 'Żory'. In 1999, the company 'BEST EKO' Sp. z o. o. became the owner of the 'Boguszowice' wastewater treatment plant with collectors and sewer networks connecting it.

At present, the 'Boguszowice' sewage treatment plant receives sewage from the area of ​​Żory-Rój - the Gwarków housing estate and from the industrial area of ​​the liquidated KWK 'Żory'. Most of the sewage is supplied
from the area of ​​Rybnik - Boguszowice, Kłokocin, PTKiGK, and from the area of ​​KWK 'Jankowice' together with the adjacent areas. In addition to customers connected directly to the sewerage network, the Company operates a large fleet of slurry tankers that arrive from nearby municipalities.

In December 1999, Zakład Energetyczny was established, which operated in the area of ​​the former KWK 'Żory' and in Osiedle Gwarków until June 30, 2021. Since the takeover of the sewage treatment plant facilities, works related to their modernization and adaptation to both national and EU requirements have taken place.

In 2005, the Boguszowice wastewater treatment plant was completely modernized
and became one of the most modern facilities in the region.

In 2006, investments related to sludge management were initiated, which allowed for the expansion of activities to include the neutralization and recovery of virtually all biodegradable waste.
