Currently, Skokovo JSC is located at two sites:

- site No. 1 - enterprise administration - leased premises in Yaroslavl, Tolbukhina avenue, 68 (office premises);

- site No. 2 - the Skokovo MSW landfill, in the Yaroslavl district of the Yaroslavl region.

The MSW landfill of JSC 'Skokovo' is located in a suburban area from the north-west, 4 km from the border of the city of Yaroslavl, on the lands of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise 'Grigorievskoye' of the Yaroslavl municipal district. In the north-western direction, the landfill borders on the lands of the State Forest Fund, SPK Molot, FSUE Grigorievskoye. The nearest settlement, the village of Bolshoye Skokovo, is 1.5 km away to the east. Industrial facilities - the Teninskaya water-heating boiler house, the Yaroslavl-Rybinsk railway line, the Charon Ritual Center LLC (crematorium) are located southeast of the landfill. The nearest surface water body is the Nora River, which flows at a distance of 2 km.

The area of the landfill is 60.12 ha , including 1.2036 ha of waterproof coatings, 53.593 ha of soil coatings, and 0.075 ha of a fire-fighting pond. The territory of the landfill is divided into a waste storage area, a household area and external networks and communications. The main territory of the landfill is occupied by a storage area of 49.6 hectares .

The design capacity of the landfill is 9900.0 tons.

In October 2017, an inventory of accumulated waste was carried out at the landfill in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Law of January 10, 2002 No. No. 7-FZ 'On Environmental Protection', Federal Law of 06.24.1998. No. 89-FZ “On Production and Consumption Wastes”, Rules for the inventory of waste disposal facilities, approved by order of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia dated February 25, 2010. No. 49.

According to the technical report, with the actual average annual amount of accumulated waste, the estimated life of the landfill is up to 2038 .

Percentage of landfill filling as of 09/01/2019 is 52.0% .

The main types of waste placed at the landfill are municipal solid waste, construction waste, bulky waste and industrial waste of hazard classes 4 and 5, which are allowed to be removed to the landfill.

The entire territory of the Skokovo JSC landfill is surrounded along the perimeter by a system of drainage channels with a depth of 2 to 3.5 meters and an embankment from the side of the landfill 4 meters high and a fence 2.5 meters high.

Input control of incoming waste is carried out - weight, radiation and morphological. The landfill is prohibited from accepting waste of hazard class I-III, waste of hazard class IV, not included in the license for waste disposal of Skokovo JSC, secondary resources, biological waste, waste prohibited for disposal in accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated July 25, 2017 No. 1589- r 'On approval of the list of types of production and consumption waste, which include useful components, the disposal of which is prohibited.'

The operation of the landfill is carried out in strict accordance with SP 320.1325800.2017 “Landfills for municipal solid waste. Design, operation and reclamation” and Instructions for the design, operation and reclamation of landfills for solid waste developed by the Academy of Public Utilities. K.D. Panfilov (approved by the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation on November 2, 1996), timely compaction of waste and their layer-by-layer isolation with a layer of soil, burnt earth, construction waste and other inert materials are carried out.

As the site fills up, the unloading area and access roads are transferred to other maps.

The leachate from the landfill is collected and fed into the storage tank. The previously existing wastewater treatment technology, which provided for the discharge of treated wastewater into a water body, but did not provide the necessary treatment, was changed in 2015, it was decided not to allow wastewater discharge, but to pump it to the landfill body. For this purpose, a system of water distribution pipes was laid to raise and evenly distribute wastewater throughout the body of the landfill. A new pumping station has been built to increase the capacity for pumping wastewater.

JSC 'Skokovo' constantly monitors the state of the environment both at the landfill and in its sanitary protection zone: the state of air, groundwater, and soil is monitored.

According to the monitoring data, no excess concentrations of pollutants over the established standards have been identified.
