Raw materials and therefore iron ore are becoming increasingly scarce. The recycling of scrap iron is an important factor in limiting the scarcity of raw materials. The recycling of scrap produces new steel. Recycling old iron is therefore good for the environment, but also good for your wallet. An old washing machine, old bicycle, cast iron bathtub, radiators, old copper water pipes or cabling can quickly yield a nice amount. So the knife cuts both ways.
