Sekopak

Bulevar Mihajla Pupina 10 B/2, Belgrade, Beograd , Serbia | Waste Management

Sekopak was founded in 2006 with the aim of introducing the principle of extended producer responsibility (POP) in the field of packaging and packaging waste management. This principle implies that companies that place packaging products in a package must ensure that part of that packaging is collected and recycled, in accordance with legally defined national goals.

It was founded by companies that already had experience in this field in the EU, and wanted to fulfill their obligations related to environmental protection within the activities they perform, namely Coca - Cola Hellenic, Knjaz Milos ad, Carlsberg Serbia, A&P, Concern Bambi, Ball Packaging, Tetra Pak, Apatin Brewery and Fresh & Co.

Sekopak is a market leader and together with its partners and clients contributes to raising awareness among all citizens about the importance of recycling and primary waste selection.

The company can boast of taking over the largest amount of used packaging in Serbia for the period 2010-2019, and thanks to partners and the collection network in 2018 alone, more than 88,000 tons of packaging waste were collected and recycled. The Company successfully exceeds the set goals from year to year.
