Valor’Aisne is the Departmental Syndicate for the Treatment of Household Waste in Aisne. It was created in 2003 on the initiative of the General Council of Aisne in order to follow the main orientations decided at the departmental level in terms of waste management.

Valor’Aisne is open to local authorities wishing to delegate their expertise in waste treatment to it. Collection remains their prerogative. As of January 1, 2019, 15 communities and the Departmental Council are members of the Syndicate. The territory covered by Valor’Aisne concerns approximately 531,000 inhabitants, i.e. 96% of the Axos population.

Mission

Valor’Aisne’s missions are defined in its statutes. The latter thus specify that the Syndicate exercises the following powers for studies, production and management in terms of:

Sorting centers

Organic recovery centers

Energy recovery centers

Landfills

Transfer docks

Transport from transfer docks, sorting and organic recovery centers to energy recovery and

Landfill facilities

Related land acquisition and development.

Through its missions, Valor’Aisne is positioned as a player in sustainable development at the heart of the problem of household waste. Their treatment is necessarily accompanied by reflections on their reduction and their valorization.
