Cigarette butts are one of the most dangerous and insidious forms of environmental pollution because they are not biodegradable. They contain. Plenty of toxic chemicals and plastic and kill silently and invisibly with the intensity of weapons of mass destruction.

Cigarette butts are decomposing very slowly. Just one cigarette in about seven liters is deadly to microorganisms found in fresh and salt water.

40% of the waste collected worldwide in beach cleaning is garbage. In Greece we 'produce' about 22 billion cigarette butts or 3,500 tons.
What can we do to stop this situation? Recycle cigarette butts!

Through the pioneering program #gopafree of Cigaret Cycle, the cigarette butts will be collected, separated and with a special process will produce new recycled industrial products, such as plastic pallets. Paper waste, tobacco and ash will be composted to make compost!

Part of the proceeds from the sale of recyclable tobacco products will be used to buy glasses and headphones for our visually impaired and deaf people in order to restore their senses and improve their quality of life. Our goal is to spread social consciousness beyond the environmental one.
