History

The Collective Alternative Battery Management System Societe Anonyme, with the distinctive title 'SYDESYS SA' , was established on 14/3/2004 (Government Gazette 2431 / 23.3.2004) for the purpose of alternative management of vehicle batteries and lead industry - lead acid nickel - cadmium for the entire Greek Territory.

SYDESYS received a renewal of its operating approval for the management, now, of ALL types of accumulators of vehicles & industry (Lead - acid, Nickel - Cadmium, Nickel Hydride - Metal).

The cooperation with SSED SYDESYS ensures the companies that manufacture, import and resell accumulators of vehicles and industry their exemption from the fulfillment of their obligations regarding the alternative management of accumulator waste imposed by Law 2939/2001 and JM 41624/2010 .

The main object of the SEDESYS is the alternative management of all waste batteries for vehicles and industry, with the aim of ensuring on the one hand the protection of the environment and human health and on the other hand the achievement of national objectives.
