ARAL Alessandrina Waste Company

The Alessandrina SpA Waste Company , in the initials  ARAL. ,is the joint stock company which in 2003 inherited the properties and operational activities of the previous Alessandrino Consortium of Urban Solid Waste; transformed on 16/12/03, pursuant to art. 1 1 of the Regional Law n. 24 of 24/10/2002, in the Basin Consortium with tasks of governing the collection and disposal of MSW, management of the waste tariff and construction of fixed structures serving separate waste collection.

ARAL has maintained the relations with the staff and in general the legal relations previously in progress with the Alessandrino Consortium and carries out the following activities:

Mechanical separation of the dry and wet fractions of unsorted municipal solid waste, and start-up, of the dry fraction in landfill and partly to the RDF production plant for subsequent sending to extra-provincial waste-to-energy plants;

Recovery of the wet fraction referred to in the previous point, by aerobic stabilization to obtain the FOS. for use in environmental recovery; alternatively, its disposal in the landfill of the SRT of Novi Ligure and Bossarino dui Savona is envisaged, as per the specific exchange agreement stipulated under the aegis of the Province of Alessandra;

Recovery of plastics selected from assimilable and bulky materials to be subjected to treatment in the CDR 2 line.

Disposal in landfill of the essentially dry processing excesses of the waste treatment lines;

Management of the internal ecological island with provisional storage and recovery of paper, cardboard, iron, glass, plastic bottles, polyethylene, wood, mattresses;

Management of the internal ecological island with temporary storage, sorting and recovery or disposal of special waste similar to urban waste, WEEE (refrigerators, TVs, computers, washing machines, appliances, neon) bulky, tires, expired medicines, empty drums T and / or F, batteries, toner;

Post mortem management of the Mugarone landfill;

Post mortem management of the Castelceriolo landfill;

Operational management of the new Solero landfill activated on 20 August 2012.
