Mt. Pleasant Redemption Center

1001 N Broadway St, Mount Pleasant, Iowa, United States | Waste Management

Mt. Pleasant Redemption Center opened it's doors in 1998 by Andrew Crane just 3 months after graduating from Central College. It was a lot of hard work, but he had help from Dixie Crane, Cher Rodgers, Curt Crane, and many others. Many thanks to them.

We've remained in business for over 22 years, despite the failure of our Legislature to increase the handling fee since the bill's enactment. Ironically, our current Governor was the main driver behind the bill, which has proved to be beyond beneficial for our environment. Ironically, he has not taken a stand on the bottle bill. The majority of Iowan's favor the bill, but OUR Representatives have more concern for the distributors (Pepsi, Coke, Budweiser, etc....) than they do for the people of Iowa for which they represent. Those with the money make the laws, not the people of Iowa. This is obvious in all governmental functions. The citizens of the USA, who once controlled the laws no longer have a say. We have lost our home of the free in exchange for money for the politicians. We as Americans need to take a stand very soon before we lose all the freedoms our Country was founded on.

We are proud to have served the the community for over 15 years, and hope for many more.
