GPS Container Depot

GPS Container Depot was the first established Bottle Depot in Canada. Opening in April 1971 by previous owner David Green. With the recycling business getting busier and busier, by 1999 Dave opened a second bottle depot in West Lethbridge.

GPS also known as Greens Pop Shop quickly became an iconic business in Lethbridge. Dave Green played a huge role in the establishment of ABDA (Alberta Bottle Depot Association), sitting on the board for many years before retiring in 2015. Since 2015 GPS is owned and operated by Brian and Doug Eakett.

At GPS, we are constantly finding new ways to improve our depots to better suit the needs of our customers. We have recently expanded our north depot and installed automated equipment, allowing us to process your order faster and more efficiently. Due to the growing population in west Lethbridge and the continued support of our loyal customers we are currently building a new fully automated 6,000 square foot bottle depot to replace our west branch. Our new depot is located just off Heritage and University DR, and is expected to open summer 2020.
