About Our Owners

The idea for Junk Hikers Removal and Hauling came from owner Malachi Dangelo’s vision for a business that he and his wife Angela could both be involved in and work together on after Angela decided to be a full-time stay at home mom after the birth of their son Bennett. 

Malachi has always had the drive to create and build and knew exactly what kind of business he wanted after a long night of falling into a YouTube hole on junk removal. Malachi loves working with his hands or performing physical jobs, and the business of junk removal was a perfect fit. After months of research, books, and podcasts Junk Hikers Removal and Hauling officially opened in March of 2021, and has steadily gained momentum ever since.

Our goal is to become the go-to junk removal service for Boyertown, Pottstown, Collegeville, Phoenixville, Reading, and the surrounding areas! We are starting small, but are confident that our formula of friendly and professional service, honesty, and integrity will build something truly special. 

Meet Malachi Dangelo (Owner/ Operator)

Malachi brings over a decade of customer service experience to the table, ranging from sales, delivery, dispatching, coaching, and management. Malachi currently works full-time for a local lumber supplier, while running Junk Hikers on nights and weekends. Malachi is a 2015 graduate of Millersville University where he received a Bachelor’s in Government and Political Affairs, and also played football his Freshman year before a career-ending knee injury. Before that, he attended Conrad Weiser High School where he played football as well. When he isn’t working, or helping you enjoy the view again, Malachi enjoys watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, hiking, working on cars, hunting, traveling with his family, and visiting local breweries, wineries, and restaurants. 

Meet Angela Dangelo ( Co-Owner/ Scheduler)

Angela is the real driving force behind Junk Hikers Removal and Hauling. She is the friendly voice you will normally hear when you call us for a quote or to schedule a pick-up. Angela currently has the most important job of raising our son Bennett when she isn’t scheduling jobs and quotes. Angela is a 2012 graduate of Millersville University, and spent her time as a Special Education Teacher from that point on in York and most recently Oley until 2019. Her hobbies include a love of the outdoors (rock climbing, hiking, skiing) refinishing furniture, travel with her family, camping, and visiting local wineries.
