Located at the Alma Transformation Center (CETAL), in the former Isle-Maligne plant of the Alcan Electrolysis and Chemistry Company, Centrem's vocation is the recovery, sorting, management of hazardous materials, recycling, upgrading and buying / selling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Alma's 28,000 m2 sorting center, on our 59,600 m2 property, processes more than 65,000 tonnes of recovered products each year. The treatment of demolition waste (CRD) and metals that Centrem collects as part of its mission is carried out in closed places and not in the open, thus avoiding dust emissions, odors, etc., a determining factor in the Environmental Protection. With its center in Chicoutimi, Centrem's services and operations specifically consist of:

The recovery, sorting, decontamination, churning, shearing and recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals according to our certificates of authorization and the environmental standards in force;

Recovery, crushing, treatment and recycling of aluminum smelter by-products;

The dismantling, emptying, recovery and recycling of transformers not contaminated with PCBs;

The dismantling, emptying, metal decontamination and management of transformer oils contaminated with PCBs at a level below 50 ppm, according to our certificate of authorization and current environmental standards;

The buying and selling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals;

Management of construction, renovation and demolition (CRD) waste, according to our certificate of authorization and current environmental standards;

Wood chipping;

Rental of skips and transport.
