Vartdal Recycling

Hamnevegen 155, Vartdal, More og Romsdal, Norway | Scrap Metal Recycling

Vartdal Recycling is a privately owned company that buys, processes and sells iron / metals and cables, as well as reception for EE waste and car wrecks.

We are owned by Hermod Teigen AS (50%) and Hellik Teigen AS (50%).

Since the start-up at Vartdal in 1993, VG AS has had a very positive development and we have established new state-of-the-art facilities in Florø and Kristiansund, as well as a separate department for receiving car wrecks in Ålesund.

Today we have one of the best facilities in Norway for receiving, fragmenting and sorting metal waste. In 2003, a separate fragmentation plant was built at our main plant in Vartdal for handling cars, white goods and complex iron. Today, we produce every year between 35 - 40,000 tonnes of iron and metals, where all iron is loaded on a boat from its own quay.

All our facilities have locks for measuring radioactive waste, fully cast concrete cover with oil separators and a separate quay.

Vartdal Gjenvinning is ISO-certified after 9001 and 14001. In addition, we are certified in Achilles IQS

Vartdal Recycling is a part owner in the following companies: Tofte Gjenvinning AS (ownership 50%), Sunn-Trans AS (ownership 33.5%), Elektrogjenvinning Møre AS (ownership 25%) and Elektrogjenvinning Romsdal As

Local presence and processing is also a part of our strategy; scrap must be short-traveled. At the same time, the processing must be cost-effective. Therefore, we have routines for environmental processing, pressing and fragmentation that are carried out in the places that are most practical with regard to logistics.
