NORSIRK is a nationwide producer responsibility company for electrical and electronic products, batteries and packaging. We collect, clean up the environment and recycle waste in accordance with our customers' producer responsibility.

A circular value chain

Compliance with regulatory requirements

We ensure that your company complies with all government requirements related to Electricity, Battery and Packaging. Then you do not have to think about reporting to public authorities.

Evidence of social responsibility

You get an environmental certificate that shows that your company takes its social responsibility. Then your customers can be sure that the products will be of pure value after they have been used up.

We collect EE waste from approximately 2,500 collection points throughout Norway. Manufacturers of EE products must pay an environmental fee to a government-approved return scheme. The fee shall finance safe and environmentally sound handling of the waste. The non-profit company NORSIRK has operated such a scheme through Elretur since 1998.

Industry owned

NORSIRK is owned by the Electronics Industry Foundation with 30%, the Norwegian Electricity Suppliers National Association (NEL) with 30%, ICT Norway with 30% and Abelia with 10%.
