Sienambiente is a public-private company with mixed capital that operates in the integrated waste cycle, managing plants for the selection, enhancement, composting and recovery of energy from waste. It is also active, directly or through numerous partnerships, within the green economy, in the renewable energy sector and in the production of energy from renewable and unconventional sources.

Founded in 1988 on the initiative of the local Sienese authorities who decided to join with the aim of promoting the management of urban hygiene services in the supra-municipal area, today it is engaged with a 24.5% stake in the corporate structure of Sei Toscana, the single manager for the integrated waste service of the South South (provinces of Arezzo, Siena, Grosseto).

In choosing to present itself as a joint-stock company with mixed public-private capital from its inception, it has guaranteed economic and social sustainability to the management of urban waste in an area of ​​extraordinary beauty and delicacy.
