GreenTech was established in 2002 as the first plastic recycling company in Romania and today is one of the most important plastic recyclers in Europe and a leading manufacturer of PET flakes, R-PET regranulate and PET tapes.

With the introduction of the highest standards of quality control, our organic PET flakes are used in various industries from food packaging to the textile industry in various parts of the world, across Europe to the USA, making us major contributors to reducing plastic pollution.

We are part of Green group the largest integrated recycling park in Europe, and we own recycling facilities in Lithuania and Slovakia.

The PET bottle recycling facility in Banská Bystrica was built together with the Romanian Green Group, which is the largest PET bottle recycler in Europe. The total amount of investment intended for the revitalization of the old industrial area of ​​the former cement plant and the construction of a new hall was 13 mil. €. The total capacity of the line is 40,000 tons of PET bottles per year at the inlet and 30,000 tons of PET flakes at the outlet.

The line is able to process the entire annual capacity of PET bottles placed on the Slovak market

Our goal is to contribute to the faster direction of Slovakia towards the circular economy by processing all PET bottles sorted in Slovakia and transforming them into input raw material. Ongoing investments are planned to meet EU targets with the creation of capacities for the transformation of PET bottles into rPET regranulate and PET binding tapes in the amount of 20 mil. €.

The current number of employees - 100, the plan by 2022 is to fill 200 jobs
