THE HISTORY

1938-1964: Lucien VITSE, the founding grandfather ...

Mr. VITSE 1938 in front of his company van

In 1938, in Flanders, Lucien Vitse, the grandfather of the current managers, created a personal business, VITSE, for threshing wheat, trading and delivering coal to individuals.

1964-1986: Albert VITSE, the innovative and visionary father ...

In 1964, Albert Vitse, the father of the current managers, took over the family business and developed it, giving it the foundations and the current culture: development and innovation.

The wheat threshing activity is evolving into agricultural work. At the same time, technological developments linked to the economic development of the country are making threshers (large equipment) more and more modern, according to the terminology of the time.

Mr. VITSE father is committed to the same paths of innovation:

he was the first to invent a self-propelled beet harvester with a single driver

he built several machines to turn flax and pull goatherds

In 1967, seeing public works develop very quickly, Albert VITSE bought his first hydraulic excavator (cleaning ditches, etc.). The public works company has just been born.

Over the years, new equipment has been acquired and public works sites follow one another with clients in building and public works (rental and construction sites).

1982 marks a new stage for the VITSE company with its first demolition site: the deconstruction of the Béthune gendarmerie on behalf of the company.

1987 - 1999: the developer and innovator sons

In 1986, Christian VITSE (third of a family of 4 boys and a girl) at the age of 21, after his civil engineering studies, joined the family business: very quickly, he took over the de facto management. In 1987, Sarl VITSE was incorporated on the occasion of the takeover of the company VITSE Albert (13 employees). The shareholders are François, Jean and Christian VITSE.

In 1988, the company carried out its first recycling project for SNCF: preparatory work for the TGV NORD with 30,000 tonnes of concrete crushed on the site. The recycling business has just been born. The sites follow one another and as soon as possible the materials are recycled on sites with various customers: SEM VILLE RENOUVELER, LMCU, DDE… The ecological and environmental fiber is anchored in the company.

More and more technical, even spectacular projects are being carried out and require the implementation of innovative solutions: the earthworks of the stations of line 2 of the Lille metro require depths of more than 35m.

The size of the sites generates increasingly large volumes of inert waste. At the same time, the first European environmental laws applied to the public works sector were promulgated (July 13, 1992). Strict application of this legislation ultimately leads to the impossibility of landfill (no more new landfill openings) and the obligation to recover our waste: the 2000 decree and the 2001 circular confirmed these assumptions.

However, the SARL VITSE began in 1988 in recycling and led, in 1990, to search for industrial solutions making it possible to recover large volumes of inert waste.

Devarem 2000 Prize, company for the recovery of construction waste The DEVAREM project takes shape with the invention of a machine allowing the treatment at a rate of 1000 T / h of silt integrating an innovation and its protection through a world patent (1999), awarded with a 1st Prize of the 'Innovation in 2000.

This innovation was exploited through an installation within a platform that recovers all inert construction waste: silt and silty cuttings, brittle stones, concrete and road deconstruction materials.

1999 - 2010: consolidation and innovation

In June 1999, the DEVAREM activity was created and integrated into VITSE. At the same time, public works and demolition are experiencing regular growth linked to know-how and the power of the equipment. This firepower has enabled us to be present on large projects: TGV, Euralille, Parc Henri Matisse ...

The DEVAREM activity is now installed on a 10 hectare site in Houplin-Ancoisne with a 10,000 m² building. This land was an industrial wasteland for the COIGNET company which, in 1972, produced the concrete elements for the housing in Triolo, the first district of Villeneuve d´Ascq.
