S.R.C.E
6 plaine de Fongrave , RABASTENS, Occitanie, France | Textile Recycling
Who are we?
It all started in the 70s, a young couple sold second-hand clothes in regional markets. They were buying in bulk merchandise that was already sorted. But one more desire was maturing in their heads. And so little by little, the S.R.C.E 'European rags recovery company' came into being in 1986.
At the time, it was difficult to collect in France, so the goods could come from Europe, most often from Germany, a forerunner country.
It was in the 1990s that the first textile containers saw the light of day in France, installed in public or private places in association with the 'Paralysés de France'.
Since the installation of its terminals, SRCE has become autonomous, allowing it to control the entire textile recycling chain.
In recent years, two of the children of this young couple have succeeded their parents. A team of 24 employees accompany them in the little-known world of the 'rag picker'.
Its diversity in the treatment of material is the strength of this small SME, adapting over the years to the markets, to the quality of the material collected while creating real jobs and also engaging in sustainable development.
Company classified for environmental protection, ICPE standard, with authorization to transport ordinary industrial waste (D.I.B) and approved ECO-TLC Re-Fashion
