Since 1955 Road Machinery has been committed to providing our customers with quality equipment and responsive service. We started out selling street sweepers, motor graders and air compressors from our 7th street, Phoenix, Arizona location. Road Machinery now operates 17 locations across the southwest United States including world class re-manufacturing facilities for Diesel Engines, Transmissions, Electrical Rotating Devices and Hydraulic Cylinders.
Today we sell, service and rent Komatsu mining, construction and forestry equipment. We also carry a full line of milling, compaction and paving products from Wirtgen Group (Hamm, Vogele, Wirtgen, Kleeman). Our highly skilled technicians offer full product support at all of our locations as well as on-site through our mobile fleet.
EQUIPMENT TECHNICAL TRAINING
- With this class the student will learn how the system works, the common terms used when discussing hydraulics and the relationship of hydraulic parts to each other. The student will also learn the function and importance of different hydraulic fluids and what information an Oil Wear Analysis program will provide. The subject will also learn how to read the hydraulic symbols used in publications and will know the purpose and construction of major hydraulic components. Levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced.
- This course will teach the student how basic electricity systems work. The student will learn the basics of electricity, including the various terms used in the industry. Students will also learn the structure and function of the electric components normally found in a starting, charging or engine preheat circuit. The student will be exposed to how these components work together to form a functioning system along with how to read the electric symbols used in various publications. Levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced.
- The basic engine section will discuss how a diesel engine works, the language used when referring to engines and the relationship of engine parts to each other. The apprentice will learn the makeup and function of the various engine systems, and be made aware of some of the differences between various engine designs. Levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced.
- With this section the student will learn how the drive train works, the various components and their relationship to each other. The various causes of failure with preventive maintenance will also be discussed. Various transmissions, differentials, and planetary arrangements will be studied. Levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced.
- The students will learn how the air conditioning system works, the terms used and the relationship of air conditioning parts to each other. Students will also learn the function and importance of different refrigerants R12 and R134a along with the various servicing procedures. Finally the purpose and construction of the various air conditioning system components will be examined along with procedures involved with air conditioning servicing. Levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced.
