Blanchisserie Industrielle Du Centre

40, Rue Sibert , Saint Chamond , Auvergne, France | Textile Recycling

The origin of the company B.I.C. dates back to 1936

The establishment specialized in the collection and recycling of metals, textiles and others.

The company followed the industrial revolution in its region by specializing around the 1960s in industrial wiping and adding a laundry to ensure hygiene standards (Industrial Blanchisserie du Center).

Since then, the company has continued to develop on a regional level with the many companies (metallurgical, steel, mechanical) present in Rhône-Alpes. Then at the national level in the 70s / 80s by successfully responding to large markets (in transport, automobile, aeronautics, etc.) to become a leader in the transformation of textile wiping products.

Taken over in 2005 by its Managing Director, the company gained new momentum by diversifying into recycling and environmental protection.

This new strategy, without denying our historical know-how, is based on new skills:

• Quality certified ISO 9002 since 2000

Our ISO 14001 environmental certification since 2007

• Innovation by obtaining the ITECH trophy

• Safety with obtaining the OHSAS 18001 standard in 2012 The company has managed to keep jobs by playing the diversification card to meet new expectations of its customers in economic, social and ecological matters.

Today, we are one of the last companies in the sector to employ around fifty people in France and wish to maintain a true industrial approach to our activity by not giving in to the sirens of relocation, unlike most of our competitors.
