ECOPAPER: The Swiss information point on paper and ecology

Since 1982, Ecopaper has been committed to economical paper consumption and the sensible use of waste paper. Ecopaper has been the name of the association since the last general meeting on February 24, 2016, before that it was known as the Association for Environmentally Compatible Papers and Office Ecology Switzerland (FUPS). In the first few years, Ecopaper - formerly FUPS - helped to improve the acceptance of recycled paper and showed the various possibilities for the use of recycled paper. In-depth information on paper and the environment has been compiled in an information dossier and a compendium. Today, in the paper sector, Ecopaper is an important competence center for questions relating to paper and the environment.

The publication organ of Ecopaper is the magazine 'Ecopaper' , which appears four times a year . Until the end of 2015, the magazine was called “Paper & Environment”.

The FUPS is an active member of the Ecology and Paper Forum (FÖP), in which consultants and experts from all over Europe meet regularly to exchange experiences and information.

With the ecological procurement interest group ( IGÖB ) as the publisher, Ecopaper developed the information flyer “Recycled paper is convincing” in 2003.

In the past few years, the association's field of activity has expanded: In the area of ​​office ecology, it is shown that in addition to paper consumption in the office, other aspects of environmental protection should also be taken into account. See section office ecology .
