DRAWAG AG

Founded in 1924 , the traditional company Drawag AG in Regensdorf has recognized the rapidly growing industrial manufacturing market. With the development and production of storage and transport devices, she already captured the spirit of the times. As a logical further development, the sale of these grid and perforated sheet products resulted in the first waste baskets. Even today everyone knows the successor to the corrugated mesh waste basket that dates back to the early days - a real classic.

In 1953 , Walter Albiez went into business for himself and founded the company Grid-Distribution Walter Albiez. His motto was: being able to deliver good products from first-class, market-leading manufacturers quickly and reliably. One of the main products was the Swiss Box - a classic among the mailboxes.

2007 the Drawag AG and the grid distribution Walter Albiez AG merged to the grid Drawag AG.

In 2013 , the disposal department was transferred to the independent stock corporation DRAWAG TECH AG under the management of Dipek Khunti.

The umbrella brand DRAWAG was founded in 2015 to strengthen the name that has been known on the market since 1924. The company name remains grid Drawag AG, but the new brands DRAWAG GITTERROST (for the sale of gratings and weather protection grids) and DRAWAG METALL (for the sale of mailboxes, protection systems and system components) were founded. These have joined the DRAWAG umbrella brand. Furthermore, DRAWAG TECH AG has added itself to this roof.

In 2016 , all company shares of the grid Drawag AG, under which the brands DRAWAG METALL and DRAWAG GITTERROST were, were taken over by Dipek Khunti and the DKS Holding. With this logical and planned succession plan by Peter Burch, we have found and created a future-oriented path for the traditional company DRAWAG.
