The Gheza family decided to found the limited company Congefi, in the now distant 1987 and to set up its headquarters in via Baragge 11 in Giubiasco, strategically central to the canton and quickly accessible, from the two units of the pioneering sixties, it has passed to the current 34 collaborators. From the small warehouse for the collection of ferrous materials, we have moved on to the current structures spread over over 29,100 square meters and over 14,000 square meters of warehouses, equipped with the most modern recycling technologies.

The manual activity, never supplanted, was flanked by that supported by shredders, crushers, separators, presses and loaders. The family car was replaced by 17 trucks and 4 vans, capable of handling the more than 600 containers available to customers, for a total of approximately 60,000 tons of recycled material per year. Iron has been joined by paper and cardboard, bulky and vegetable waste, plastic and wood materials, cars, glass, household appliances, special and inert materials. In addition to the delivery in the warehouse, home pick-up was added by means of comfortable Welaki bucket systems or roll-off containers, capable of satisfying every need.

In the year of the celebrations for the achievement of 25 years of activity, the company Congefi Sa has given itself a new automatic plant for the separation of paper and cardboard, able to optimize the product of the approximately 15,000 tons of recycled paper annually. foundries, glass factories, disposal plants and recycling centers all over the world are the final link in the chain of activity of the company Congefi Sa, which supplies its structures with the most disparate materials, produced by households, small and large businesses and all those other activities that daily produce material that has become useless but not unusable.

In 25 years of activity, the Congefi Sa company can boast the satisfaction of having actively contributed to the regeneration of important quantities of materials, otherwise destined for pulping. Congefi Sa can be proud of having contributed to the cause of money laundering, even before others learned to familiarize themselves with the term. But, as mentioned, nothing survives without being properly fed. Congefi Sa annually invests large sums to adapt its structures to the changing market and legislative needs, to update its vehicles and machinery, for the safety of its collaborators and to improve productivity with increasingly refined processes. This is because Congefi Sa has understood that even the slightest difference can be perceived, and, above all, useful for the cause of recycling.
