SPALTAG AG operates several chemical-physical plants for the treatment of contaminated wastewater, acids, alkalis, metal wastewater and mother liquors from the chemical industry and surface technology.

From the municipal area, oil separators and residues from road collecting shafts are processed physically and chemically. The fission products and metal-containing sludge from our systems are separated according to their contents and analyzed for further processing.

In the case of average and emergency aid, we take over extinguishing and cleaning water, oil-water mixtures from oil accidents and contaminated adsorbents.

In the event of evictions, fires or environmental incidents, SPALTAG AG is available as a partner or participant in working groups for authorities, insurance companies and private interested parties.

Solid metal-containing residues, such as metal hydroxide sludge from surface technology, are sent to various steelworks in Europe to recover the metals, where they are pyrometallurgically processed. Sludge that cannot be used is stored in the underground landfill.

Depending on their properties, organic compounds are passed on to specialized companies for the production of substitute fuels or burned in waste or high-temperature incineration plants.

Our primary tasks are supplemented by the following activities:

Hazardous waste transports (including ADR declaration and waste classification)

Organization of packaging, storage and transport (general cargo and liquid transport ADR)

Overall analysis in the recovery, disposal and environmental areas

Advice on procedural problems in the operation of wastewater treatment plants

1982

Foundation of the company SPALTAG AG and start of operations.

Treatment of oil separator waste and oil-water mixtures

1986

New construction of the chemical-physical plant and thus expansion of the area of ​​activity.

1987

Founding of the company ALAB AG for chemical analysis of Industrial and hazardous waste and process wastewater.

1987

Receipt and chemical treatment of waste at the chemical-physical facility.

1997

New construction and commissioning of the drying plant for metal hydroxide sludge

from wastewater treatment. (Hydroxide sludge from our own processing,

from surface treatments or from flue gas cleaning systems, etc.)

2004

Certification ISO 9001 and 14001

2005

Expansion (new construction) of the external tank system, internal operating tanks and expansion

the oil separator system. Takeover of further rooms for the triage of hazardous waste from household and community collections.

2006

A third treatment stage is being put into operation on an experimental basis with the aim of to receive a sorted waste fraction (metal & wastewater).
