J. Grimm AG

The J. Grimm AG is a regionally rooted SME operation with around 55 employees, dealing with waste, recyclables and transports. Our goal is to turn waste into a product so that it can be reused as a valuable material. It is important to us to save raw materials and protect the environment. New technologies, state-of-the-art machines and means of transport are used for this.

The company Wiedag Recycling und Deponie AGwas founded as a partner company of J. Grimm AG. The name 'Wiedag' comes from recycling. We store materials that cannot be reused or incinerated in our Chrüzlen landfill. Due to the high technical standard of the system and the constant control of the authorities, it can be ensured that the systems comply with the environmental regulations. In this way, the waste from the regional population can be safely stored. Appropriate premises are required to process and market the recyclable materials. With the Bubikon recycling center , we have a location that makes this possible.

We receive over 20,000 tons of green waste annually from municipal waste collection, horticulture and private individuals. In addition, there are set-up waste and leftovers from large kitchens. All of this is sorted, shredded and used in our fermentation plant in Wiedag Chrüzlen. We use it to produce “naturemade star” quality electricity for 900 households.

As an ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certified company, we adhere to a strict quality system in all work processes. ISO 14001 is the certification for environmentally correct behavior. Precisely because we deal with rubbish, waste and rubble, we attach great importance to quality, cleanliness and the protection of the environment. True to our motto 'For a clean Züri-Oberland'.
