ENESPA AG

Wührestrasse 2a, Appenzell, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland | Plastic Recycling

ENESPA AG was founded in 2004 with the idea of constructing modular co-generation systems and running them on rapeseed oil. After analyses and several trials, it became apparent that rapeseed oil does not make ecological or economic sense for the operation of co-generation systems. Subsequent attempts at extracting crude oil from agricultural waste using thermolysis facilities formed the basis for the idea of plastics recycling.

Through further technical and economic evaluations, it became clear that plastics recycling with the thermolysis process has huge potential for the future.

Energy and passion were then put into the development of the first test facility. Back in 2014, the thermolysis facility ran for the first time without any problems for 14 days and the technology was thus ready to be used in the first productive facility.

The Enespa Team

The ENESPA team is primarily involved in advising and supporting investors. The plastics recycling facilities will be marketed by these employees at a later stage.
