Waste plant

Ekotrade works to make sustainable waste management . In our recovery plant, the materials that arrive are recycled, preventing them from being deposited in landfills.

The waste is transported from its place of production to our facilities in Astigarraga . We are located next to the soccer field of this town, 5 km from the center of Donostia and perfectly communicated with the rest of the municipalities of Gipuzkoa.

Once the waste reaches our plant, we take care of separating it according to its nature, cleaning, recovering and selling recycled aggregates.

Types of waste

Our plant is authorized by the Basque Government for the management of non-hazardous waste. Its maximum capacity is 170,000tn / year. The Ekotrade plant is prepared to recover, segregate and reuse up to 95% by weight of the waste that arrives.

The LER codes correspond to the European Waste List. In order to find the LER code that corresponds to the generated waste, it is necessary to know its origin, in what process it was generated, and its composition. Sometimes it is clear to which code each waste corresponds, but sometimes it is difficult to know how to classify them. By providing us with the necessary information, we, as authorized managers, can help you.
