TXARAKA began its non-hazardous waste management activity in 1989 in the town of Markina-Xemein, initially serving the municipalities belonging to the Lea Artibai, Alto and Bajo Deba and Duranguesado regions.

In 2005, TXARAKA KONTENEDOREAK, SL was established . as a commercial company, expanding its waste management activity to the entire Basque Country.

On July 10, 2013, the General Meeting of TXARAKA KONTENEDOREAK, SL . agrees unanimously, the Merger by Absorption of the mercantile BIKO - DEBEKO RECYCLING, SL , agreeing in the same way the increase of the share capital and the consequent modification of the statutes.

The company's activity is focused on the comprehensive management of non-hazardous waste , the transport of various aggregates to the masonry and construction sectors, and the production and sale of recycled concrete aggregates and RCDs. in general .

To this end, TXARAKA KONTENEDOREAK, SL manages a Waste Recovery Plant located in the Ibur-erreka Industrial Estate in Zaldibar and has two branches : one located in the Arriaga Industrial Estate in Elgoibar and the other in the Eziago de Hernani Industrial Estate .

It has a fleet made up of six container trucks with hook and chain systems , various heavy machinery used in the recovery of waste, as well as a significant number of containers of different sizes and capacities ranging from 2.5 to 35 m³ m³.
