FEMUSAN is a company specialized in the scrap metal and metal waste recovery sector. It started its activity in 1985 in Cantabria and since then it has established itself as one of the most experienced companies in the sector, being today a benchmark in its specialty within and outside the region.

OUR FACILITIES

FEMUSAN has more than 7,000 square meters of modern and advanced industrial facilities located in the Polígono de Raos, next to the Port of Santander destined to the processing and recycling of metal waste, and always, respecting the environmental policy and regulations.

At FEMUSAN we have a team of highly qualified people, in order to satisfy the needs of our clients and suppliers.

The activities that we carry out in the company range from: shearing, packaging, recycling and separation of iron and metals; to: scrap metal collection and industrial scrapping.

QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT

FEMUSAN maintains a sustained commitment to the environment, complying with current regulations and applying a code of good practices in the treatment of the waste we handle.

Our facilities are equipped with radioactivity measurement systems. Ferrous materials, metals, cuttings or scraps are destined for recycling, thereby contributing to the maintenance and promotion of the conservation of the environment in a clean, direct and responsible way.

In accordance with the provisions of article 15 of Law 10/1998 of April 21 on waste and through the Ministry of the Environment and Territorial Planning of the Government of Cantabria, FEMUSAN is registered in the registry of non-hazardous waste for the collection, transport and storage operations as well as the manager for the collection of used lead batteries in the hazardous-waste section.

SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY

Aware of the importance of our work in society, FEMUSAN collaborates with sports and solidarity activities aimed at improving the social perspective of some groups such as soup kitchens, amateur cycling teams and others.
