EKOLIO Olioaren Birziklapena

At EKOLIO we are dedicated to the collection and treatment of used vegetable oil for the production of biodiesel. We are a professional company from Zaragoza, young and dynamic with a social vocation, which offers its collection services free of charge.

We are based on the philosophy of 'giving back to the people what the people give us', transforming a polluting waste (used vegetable oil) into a friendly resource (biodiesel). We allocate 10% of the sale of this oil to cultural and social projects, to jointly develop environmental awareness initiatives. In this way, we all benefit, since we promote a social circular economy from an environmental philosophy.

In this sense, we have signed a collaboration agreement with KILOMETROAK Kultur Elkartea, through which we promise to donate 10% of our turnover to the Ikastola that organizes the Kilometroak party that year. Five years ago the ikastola Aranzadi de Bergara was the beneficiary, four years ago the Ikastola Txantxiku de Oñati, three years ago the Ikastola de Urretxu-Zumarraga, two years ago the Ikastola de Zarautz, last year the Ikastola de Zubimusu de Zizurkil and Villabona and this year the Ikastolas de Andramendi, Jakintza eta San Benito de Beasain, Lazkao and Ordizia.

But this agreement with KMK is only the first step in our circular project, as we hope to create synergies and new collaborations with other agents. And in this sense, it is our intention to find new collaborators who join the project.
