1100 NE Campus Parkway, Seattle, Washington, United States | Compost & Food Waste

WE SHOW YOU WHERE TO PUT YOUR WASTE.

We want to make it easier for people to recycle and compost their waste. In the last decade, emerging technologies have made it possible to recycle many new materials. That’s great—but it’s made recycling a lot more confusing. If you’ve dined out recently, you’ve probably wondered: where should I put my coffee cup? Is the lid recyclable?

Our EvoBin makes it fun and easy for people to properly sort their waste— and better waste disposal means financial savings. The EPA estimates that 75% of the American waste stream is recyclable—but we only recycle about 30%. We throw away $7 billion dollars a year in valuable materials.

Increased composting and recycling contributes to a more sustainable environment. If all US food waste was composted, it would be the equivalent of taking two million cars off the road. Recycling reduces our need for extracting, refining, and processing raw materials. Using recycled materials also requires less energy, and creates far less air and water pollution than using virgin materials.
