The GEMDOUBS paper mill is located in the commune of Novillars, 10 km north-east of the city of Besançon, on a total surface area of ​​13.6 hectares. It employs nearly 70 people. GEMDOUBS's industrial process consists of producing recycled paper from used paper and cardboard. GEMDOUBS produces around 85,000 tonnes per year of PPO (Corrugated Paper), mainly intended for manufacturers of corrugated cardboard packaging for mass distribution, industrial packaging or e-commerce.

GEMDOUBS manufactures PPO (Corrugated Paper) whose characteristics may vary depending on customer demand. The main application is the manufacture by cardboard manufacturers of corrugated cardboard, which can be shaped and printed to produce all kinds of packaging: mass distribution and agro-food, industrial, e-commerce ... Different papers can thus be produced: Testliner, Fluting ...

  •  Width: any width within the limit of our machine of 3.35 m.

  • Weight: from 115 g / m² to 200 g / m².

GEMDOUBS recycles recovered paper and cardboard, coming from: 


- 30% of household packaging collected by local authorities (mainly the Greater Region); 
- 70% of product packaging collected from large retailers (agrifood, etc.) and industry.


The raw material is delivered in the form of compressed bales, each weighing between 300 and 1500 kg approximately, to be stored in the bale park.
