Located in Creuse, in the center of France in the Limousin region about 300 km south of Paris, Cartonnerie Jean is close to the North-South, Paris-Toulouse motorway axis (A20) and the Bordeaux-Lyon transverse axis ( N145).

It was in 1925 that René Jean decided to create the celloderm cardboard factory.

In 1927 the project was successful and the machines were installed in the Celle Dunoise mill.

A meuleton, 2 refining batteries and a cardboard machine with a manual-cut winder then used old paper to manufacture celloderm for the shoe factories which were very present then in the Limoges region the company grew, fitted with thermomechanical and then electrical driving force.

It is equipped with a coal-fired boiler and a dryer.

The production then reaches 5 T / day of celloderm.

It was in 1972 that production started on an automatic production line at the Bonnat site.

The current production capacity of Celloderme is 25 T / day.

In 1996, a 2nd continuous cardboard production line was started, with which Cartonnerie Jean developed the production of cardboard and tinted cardboard.
